The scope of the project consisted of testing different high temperature lead acid cells from different manufacturers, with a triple objective:
Characterize and predict the performance of the cells in the final application through electrochemical characterization tests, cycling at different temperatures and C-rates and post-mortem analysis.
Selection and homologation of the best performing cells.
Obtaining empirical data to feed the SoX algorithms.
